Expanding Hanscom to allow private jets will pollute the air in order to satisfy the greed and entitlement of a very small number of people is contrary to everything Massachusetts is trying to accomplish. Please do not allow this to happen.

We have to build those projects that support divesting in oil and gas, not those that accelerate fossil fuel usage. This project is very necessary to not build.

I am the founder and former director of the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School. When it comes to providing more space so that private jets can land at Hanscom, or making good on the Commonwealth's commitments to mitigate climate change by reducing fossil fuel emissions, it is clear that this insane plan to expand private jet space must be turned down.

Please show leadership for the climate by stopping expansion of truly harmful but yet still accepted use of private planes when other, and less carbon intensive means of transportation are available. We need leadership to make these important cultural shifts.

Although I don't live in Massachusetts (I'm from San Diego, CA), increased greenhouse gas emissions affect all of us, everywhere. And by stopping this private jet hangar expansion, Massachusetts can be a leader and set an example for other cities to follow, which also will benefit all of us, everywhere.
