Please do not expand Hanscom airport. Neighborhoods are quiet residential area.

It would be egregious to risk achieving our state's climate goals in order to expand private jet travel for the ultra wealthy.

In general, I don't think we should be curtailing human activities to address climate change. Innovation will get us out of this mess in the long run. But private jets are such an egregious emitter of carbon today that it makes no sense to encourage their use by expanding opportunities to use them at Hanscom or any other airport.

Expansion is exactly the opposite of what is needed. We should de incentivize the use of private jets and not cut trees for such frivolous reason.

I do not live near Hanscom but when I first heard about the expansion plans, I could not believe what was being planned and oppose the expansion of private jet capacity at Hansom

Expanding private jet use is bad for the environment. Period. If addressing climate change is our top priority then we should be working to reduce the use of private jets.

In addition to concern about an expansion of Hanscom being detrimental to our climate, I am increasingly concerned about the level of noise and disruption caused by current flights departing and landing at Hanscom. Planes seem to be flying lower over neighborhoods as they descend for landing. The noise and general disruption is upsetting. Sunday nights are often the worst. But, recently, there has been heavy traffic during the day time.

I am very concerned about the effect this expansion of private jet use from Hanscom field will have on the serenity of Walden Pond. The pond has remained a sanctuary for people and wildlife for many years. Any potential threat to its serenity should not be allowed.

We have no need for or to encourage more greenhouse emissions.

Even being a commercial pilot, I agree this is a bad idea for many reasons.

MA's trees are an asset to the state. The furthest east one goes, the fewer there are. Let's not let that tree eradication creep westward. We should be trying to increase the amount of trees, not reduce it.

Private jets are not in the public interest. They further climate change, cause noise and chemical pollution, and are the domain of the super-rich who will not bear the associated costs.

Private jets should be outlawed, given their oversize contribution to the climate crisis.

No need for more private flights. It is selfish.
