Please do everything in your power to stop this Hanscom expansion -- which is already the largest private jetport in New England. We must STOP growing private jet travel. Please stay the course with your commitment to climate change and block this Hanscom expansion plan. Gov Healy.

I spend a lot of time at Great Meadows and at Gaining Ground farm. I am concerned about the birds and other wildlife in the area and impact that more planes will have on them as well as the environment.

This expansion is not in the public's interest and will slow down the state's efforts to reduce green house gas pollution. I urge you to stop the Massport expansion plan at Hanscom.

Our home is on one of the flight paths. Most evenings a descending plane passes overhead every five minutes. Increasing air traffic is not acceptable.

The proposed expansion of Hanscom Field is a dreadful idea in so many ways -- environmentally, socially, economically. It flies in the face of your laudable efforts to build a green infrastructure and economy along with fairness and justice in our Commonwealth. Please use your authority to stop this misguided, shortsighted, and dangerous planned expansion.

Private jets are not in the public interest. They further climate change, cause noise and chemical pollution, and are the domain of the super-rich who will not pay the externalized costs. In the case of Hanscom, the new hangers would displace wooded areas, counter to the needs of the people in the area and (considering climate change) all over the planet. This change is in the wrong direction: we need to be shrinking airports and fostering electronic meetings.

I chair the 24-club Association of Mass Bird Clubs and the Conservation & Education Committee of the Brookline Bird Club, the largest bird club in New England. There is overwhelming evidence that greenhouse gas emissions harm both people and birds. This is no time to increase these emissions, especially to benefit the privileged few who travel by private jets.

I think we all should do everything possible to cut greenhouse gases, and this seems like an easy one. Hope you agree. Gerry

I also live near the airport, the noise is not healthy for our children.

I live near Diamond Middle School in Lexington, and walk in the afternoons in Willard's Woods. The portion of that conservation land closest to Diamond is a fly-over point for the many private jets that use Hanscom. Especially at the end of the week and on weekends, it can be impossible to converse as the jets fly by every couple of minutes or so. It's unconscionable that the airfield wants to expand this already invasive, polluting, destructive and selfish service.

Help decrease Air Pollution causing so many diseases hard to treat as well as noise pollution. There’s no regulation as they wiz over multiple communities any time of day and night w little respect to others and cause sleep disorders.

This expansion proposes a PHENOMENAL increase in harmful emissions, for the SOLE benefit in private individuals. ALL CITIZENS of Mass. need to oppose this needless, needless poisoning of our air quality.
