Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere

Expansion for private jets is a travesty for the environment and what will ensue from the pollution of air and water.

Too loud already!

Massachusetts promotes clean energy and has clean air goals. Expanding the use of private jets has no part in that plan!

Let's not encourage wasteful and unnecessary private jet travel!

Houses near Hanscom get great exposure to the jet emissions especially at takeoff. Let not increase this health risk when we should be reducing it especially for our children.

I live a mile from this airport. The sound of the planes flying overhead actually doesn't bother me very much. But the impact of the pollution that it represents, and the inequality that enables it, bothers me immensely. This planet is the responsibility of all of us, and from those of us with more resources, we must expect greater contributions. After several years of remote working, and the rising productivity that it has enabled, it boggles my mind that there are plans afoot to enable face-to-face meetings with the most polluting technology available! It has to stop.

Lexington is a historical treasure, and the land around Hanscom is critically important to the local wildlife and environment.

Not to mention the noise pollution !

Please stop the expansion. Let’s work on getting more rail access across the US instead.

Please stop this unnecessary and damaging expansion to Hanscom. We already are bombarded by noise and vibrations from jet traffic at Hanscom, and there is no need to increase the environmental damage that will result from this proposed expansion.

Please do not increase pollution of our skies.

Stop Hanscom expansion of private jets!

Governor Healy, I am so happy and proud to have you as our governor. Please continue your excellent work on protecting our environment by stopping this expansion at Hanscom. More private jet traffic is the last thing that we need in our woefully inequitable society. Many thanks, Henrietta Yelle

Private jet takeoffs and landings at Hanscom are already too frequent. The noise and visual intrusion of large jets flying just a couple of hundred feet over the single family homes in my neighborhood is disturbing to residents and prospective buyers. We already suffer depressed real estate values, and this is a substantial sum of money taken out of our pockets by Hanscom. Why would we allow the problem to become even worse?

Young people have no future because old people won’t let go of a lifestyle only fossil fuels usage makes available. Awful.

Expanding the private jet capacity at Hanscom is a bad idea for the climate and for Lexington!
