This proposed Development does not fit with the current trajectory for our neighborhood. Housing is in high demand, commercial property is not. We need development that supports our community and doesn’t take away from what we have. As others have pointed out, there is an abundance of vacant office space in our area, but a housing shortage. This development as it is currently proposed is shortsighted for this area

I don’t see a need for the development of this office building. The building encroaches extremely close to a neighborhood and there are vacant office buildings across the street that show there is no outstanding demand for any building of this type. This building at best will become a vacant eye sore gathering dust and at worst will provide nothing but increased traffic and an imposing industrial presence on this neighborhood.

We don’t need more traffic, crime elevates, and noise. This corner neighborhood like to have peaceful and quiet. There are plenty sublease office building on poplar ave and primacy pwky. Those building are more than three stories.

There is no need or demand for this development, especially in light of COVID-19 and its impact on commercial space. I ask the City Council to preserve the integrity of the Balmoral neighborhood, and to vote “No” on the Major Modification to PD 99-362.

This building is not needed. The defunct Balmoral shopping center has not been rebuilt. there is no reason to build this unneeded unit in this residential area.

I am against having large office building at the intersection of Quince and Lynnfield on the southwest side. It’s a quiet neighborhood with lots of children and we don’t need extra traffic or noise from dumpsters, etc. We like the tree barrier there.
