Stop the Potential spreading of the Novel coronavirus in schools of York Region, Ontario

Please find out from students if their parentsor any family members have travelled China or are returning from China. The children of those families should not be at school. It’s a danger to the rest of the school.

It's paramount to prevent this vital virus spreading in York Region before it's too late. I urge York Region schools taking stronger actions to protect our children.

My granddaughter attends this school. It absolutely needs to be known to each and every parent if there are children who have been exposed to the coronavirus so they can take precautionary measure to protect their children. Its ridiculous that a petition needs to be started in order for the school boards to take this seriously!

100% agree!! We need to keep our kids safe and this is the only way to do it right now. School's should make it mandatory to wear masks instead of not allowing students to, especially in this dangerous scenario we are in now.

Absolutely agree with all these points!! We can't take any risks, it is not fair for anyone. This is all necessary.

Please take the precautionary measures to keep kids and families away from the schools for the required period if they were in China from early January. Even if members of their families were in China. This is for everyone safety especially our kids. We can do something about it so let’s prevent it. We are all on board as parents.

Prevention is key.

The participants in Chinese New Year gatherings might counteract the virus without travelling to those areas. The transmission of the virus during the incubation period exposes everyone to risk.

please keep the schools and our children safe!

I will not stand to see my pregnant wife head into a school, where she is susceptible to contracting a deadly virus and risk losing our unborn child.

Please ensure the children are self quarantine for the 17 days upon their return back to Canada from all Asia countries. Thank you.

I would like every single percussion taken to protect my children

Families who travel to China need to make schools aware of their past or future travel plans. Schools should make parents aware if a student has returned recently from China or has been exposed to a family member who recently has. Mandatory reporting should be implemented, so others can decide if they would like their children to stay at home or not.

Should also include came in contact with someone that recently returned from China

Add daycares to this too all over Toronto.
