Stop the Potential spreading of the Novel coronavirus in schools of York Region, Ontario

Keep our children safe, the spread of the virus is rapidly increasing

I can't believe I read articles saying a self quarantine is biased or racist for families returning from China to self quarantine themselves and children for the incubation period. Absolutely frustrating part of our extreme potically correct sensitivities of our country!! I hope families who are in this situation take it apon themselves to make this decision.

I totally agree, all it takes 1 student to start the spread. Why take a chance. School Boards should all be working together for a protocol and Ford needs to roll up his sleeves... it is time to work!

Medical and scientists professional are advising that best thing for now to isolate people with the potential of getting sick with corona virus. No treatment no vaccine exist for this virus.

Prevention is better than cure

Those coming in on flights from China need to be quarantined at home to eliminate any risk to Canadians - of any background heritage including Chinese. We need to keep all of us safe.

The fear of spreading more fear is not the right reason for not allowing students to wear masks at the school if the parents and/or students believe that is necessary.

We need to stop the virus from spreading!

Please please make it mandatory that children who has travelled to Asia (not just China) are required to stay home for at least 14 days before coming to school.

Please ask students who returned from China stay home for 17 days for the purpose of self- quarantine. also report to other students and parents in school .

As a precaution, school board should suggest all parents to keep their children at home if possible.

Make parents report their recent visit to infected areas.
