Stop the Potential spreading of the Novel coronavirus in schools of York Region, Ontario

This should be for all schools in Ontario or Canada.

Responsible parents don’t take risk especially on there kids future

There is a child, Aaron from my son’s class who will come back on Feb 4 from China. We are worried about it that he might spread the virus if he has it.

A girl in my sons class is currently in China and will be back Feb 7. I do not feel safe sending my son to school unless she had been completely cleared to come back to class. He is very anxious about her coming back and his teacher had also expressed concerns.

This petition is not intended to be a demonstration of racism as our Director of Education has mentioned. It is intended to keep our children safe from all individuals who travelled to China, not just Chinese travellers.

Scared to go to school, especially seeing masks

Please prevent this virus from affecting our children.

Save our children by all means their health is first. If they get sick, they bring viruses home and the whole family gets sick. Please take this seriously.

This is the best prevention we could possibly do. Monitoring only informs you the virus in our schools. And I believe any Day Cares should be included.

York region school board sent out message as possible discrimination and/or racism. As proud Canadian, all parents signed this petition are to protect our children and further outbreak of the illness. No one is accusing specific culture to self quarantine. I believe those who travelled to China within curtain timeframe should consider self quarantine for the interest of their safety as well as others.

This is about prevention. Government and school boards need to stop making this petition seem like an act of xenophobia.

It should be all across Canada day care and schools at least 17 days quarantine after returning from China to everyone and anyone in contact with the traveller with or without symptoms
