We should if not quarantine ask parents / staff / children returning from China to be home for 2 weeks so that they are also safe and everyone in the city. Younger children do not understand prevention measures and thus very important TDSB and all school authorities issue this statement and take this measure.

I dont have kids, but have worked in kids in my past jobs and I used to get sick quite often because of how many kids tend to have runny nose and just the amount of small germs that go around no matter how clean and obsessive we get. Schools will be the most common places to have this spread, and them to their parents and grandparents etc. There are 30+ p at risk of contamination from the two confirmed cases in Toronto. If they are saying its airborn and spreads very quickly then for sure we are going to get a few more cases by next week. Lock it down!!!!!!!!

it is not racist to request quarantine of ALL recent travelers to china, be they white or chinese or otherwise. AND IT IS A CHINA VIRUS.

This seems prudent and disciplined. Kids are much more likely to spread the virus, right? Small cost for the larger benefit of Canadian society, and there are digital tools available to minimize such disruption to those kids in quarantine.
