Stop the Potential spreading of the Novel coronavirus in schools of York Region, Ontario

Since they just dismissed this petition I am looking for a lawyer to do a class action to sue the school board for failure of providing a safe environment. Both Australia and UK imposed quarantine and masks are mandatory in other countries. Do not forget Toronto Was the only place with a SARS epidemic outside China since they failed to take care of nurses, doctors and paramedics. The same now with our kids. It's time to fight against these guys and hold them sccountable.

People of all races, ethnicities, including those of Chinese descent have signed this petition. This petition is not about marginalizing a specific group of people. This is about the safety of our kids by temporarily quarantining people (ALL PEOPLE) that have travelled to China. If this virus outbreak began in Europe, you would have the same result!

The grammar is very poor in this comment section lol. Nonetheless, recent travelers from China should stay home for both their safety as well as members of these school communities.

Save our children and be proactive before they actually get it. We rely on you to take implement these precautions if you care about the children.

This isn’t about xenophobia, people of all races travel to and from China. Political correctness is morally imperative ; however, the health and safety of ALL families should be top priority.

All Chinese students should be screened before they enter school every day. We have to make sure. School board should act and not play politics. Lives of our children are at hand.

I completely 100% agree with this petition. For the protection of our children as well as staff in the schools these precautions HAVE to take place!! It is not worth jeopardizing the life of our children.

Please take precautions as this is for safety of everyone.

Shame on you bigots at the York region school board for calling parents racists! Everybody knows the coronavirus started in China, and there is a large chinese-canadian population in York region!

Parents must be aware if students have travelled to China and/or have been in contact with others such as family members who have travelled to China. Also advise teachers and schools to make sure students are sent home if they have flu like symptoms.

Let's ensure the health and safety of our children over any worries about being political correct. When Asian countries are limiting travel to the region, asking someone to place the safety of others shouldn't be an after thought.

If you're Chinese, but stayed in Canada - no one is saying you can't go to school. If you're white/black/brown, etc. and went to China for any reason - then stay home. This is not about race - it's public safety
