Stop the Potential spreading of the Novel coronavirus in schools of York Region, Ontario

Have 4 kids and think is very unfair that asking to parents and general people to be home and stay in quarantine can be taken as racism, we are just parents,daughters,sisters ,friends and human asking to be responsible and thoughtful

Schools have deplorable soap conditions. Soap is not abundantly available, dispensers broken and to save soap money it flow in tiny amounts in both school systems. A concern as this flu will get worse. Are kids asked to wash hands before eating. No. Not possible to have 500 kids to go to the washroom and then come back I. Time to eat in 20 minutes. No one is thinking. This will get worse. Kids do not wash their hands before snacks either. Heck if you don’t believe me.

I wonder how come doctors and ministers come on TV and say it's all under control and condemn our logical petition? They say the infected person went home and then called ambulance and from then everything was under control! How about from the time he arrived until he got home? Obviously, he got a cab, so what happened to the cab driver and his family and friends who had been in touch with them? On top of that an aircraft is a closed chamber and ventilate the air inside so all passengers could be infected! Of course, it's not good to cause public panic but our petition was a very logical suggestion to limit the spread of the virus. I believe France have a better solution regarding coronavirus!

Keep them away for 17 days

The principals aren’t taking action. They aren’t asking to keep the students that are coming from Asia isolated for 2 weeks and they aren’t giving information about if there is any students who arrived from China the last weeks. Please, help us to protect the health and life of our kids before it is to late.

To Education board, Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. 眾人以為美的事、要留心去作。 Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

Our governments federal and provincial are the first to blame for not taking the right precaution and impose the precautionary measurements at airport before those landed airplanes from china.also they let us believe that we are safe here without taking into account the difference between the sars 15 years ago and this outbreak considering population increase.

The Government's response is appalling considering the outbreak is spreading rapidly and many people are not going to report symptoms or self-isolate. The government should put the health and safety of Canadians as FIRST priority!

Please stop the spread. We have so many travellers from China. Their children should be kept home. Let’s err on the side of caution.

I have relatives in Toronto. People need to take action to protect themselves and their families. But it's not just Asians travelling to and from China, anyone who has been there should self-quarantine.

Toronto did not do enough during the SARS outbreak and many people loss their lives that could have been prevented. Let's not make the same mistake now. As the petition states this influenza virus has hit at the most inopportune moment when hundreds of thousands of people have travelled to be with family over the new years holiday. With the long incubation period, airport scans (which are not being conducted at Pearson) are a half measure.
