Obviously, other than parents in our area no body else is looking at this petition any longer. That's why I'm suggesting a new petition for all parents across Canada. That would be a much more stronger message to media and responsible departments.

How about openning a new petition to ask all parents not to send their children to schools until a clear solution/vaccine become available? they can study online or just play at home. It's better to be safe rather than infected!

I completely agree with the petition. This shouldn't be seen as racist nor biased against a particular nationality. I'm originally from Russia and if something like this were to happen in Russia, I would also sign a petition for this cause.

Totally sensible. Kudos to the folks who started this initiative. Hurt feelings are temporary, deaths by infection are not.

How about we all decide not to send our kids to school? All study materials can be provided online so maybe instead of trying to convince our health professionals to agree with us, we can avoid sending our kids to school until health professionals wake up!

I really don’t feel like this is discrimination... but the virus has originated in China. People traveling back from China ( chinese or Not should be tested and isolated.

More screening needs to be done!!

Learn from Sars. Ontario had more infections, more deaths because orecautions were not taken. You have a duty to the 44 lives lost not to repeat the same mistakes. All those who travelled from China or known areas with infection should be quarantined regardless of race or gender. Diseases don't discriminate.

This is not a race specific request and therefore not possibly racism. The deciding factor is simply anyone of any race that has choosen to put themselves at risk by traveling to a country experiencing a deadly outbreak then travel back. This is a simple request that they not include the rest of society in their "role of the dice decision". Self quarentine for 17 days or more, after potential exposure is a necessary step and esential if any consideration for others is important to you.

This virus can spread fast in our school. For the safety of our children, we must take action.
