Schools are already over populated and deteriorating, this will just add to that.

Downtown Glenview is crowded enough, this building is too tall and that intersection is busy enough. No thank you

What a traffic nightmare around an already congested area not to mention the safety factor of kids going to school, library, Dairy Bar, etc. We already had a fatal incident at those tracks, do you really want another?

Definitely oppose this development. This is too big for that small parcel. Will cause too much congestion and parking issues. Need more retail- not more apartments

Too dense! Powers that be: please drive to surrounding communities who have gotten it right -- Highland Park, Wilmette, etc.

We have enough new apartment and buildings in our community. It is bringing in the riff raff not to mention over crowding our already crowded schools. How about putting more retailers on Glenview Road like Highland Park??

Glenview road and Lehigh /Harlem are already slow moving - we need a rejuvenation of downtown since the owners of the Glen are mismanaging it so badly they can’t fill or keep their retail space - Glenview road needs proper parking and more businesses like Glenview grind, Forza, Gusto, the new arcade, etc. - not more greedy condo/ townhouse developments. I want a downtown that’s walkable and a place to go for adults, teens, and families.

I’m against anymore of these large developments. Especially in that already congested area.

I do not support this development as it will negatively impact current Glenview residents-- too large, terrible location (on busy thru road) and not pedestrian friendly. I DO support REASONABLE downtown development. Thank you

I am not in favor of either the size of this project or the design. 72 rental units on this property is too large. Five stories is too tall. The 2006 Downtown Revitalization Plan that incorporated resident's input recommended a 23-unit, four-story condo building with the top floor set back. That recommendation would require fewer parking spaces, and would not create a canyon effect along Glenview Road. The proposed Drake development is an industrial looking design with the building rising directly vertical along Glenview Road, with little visual appeal or green space. Further, the village is being pressed to make concessions on the required number of parking spaces, storm water runoff and soil remediation. The design will also create further traffic congestion and risks to pedestrians. I also believe this project will set an unwanted precedent for surrounding development (will other developments be five stories tall rising straight up from the sidewalk?). This seems like a bad deal for the village, taxpayers and the local community.

No more condos!!!! . Glenview Rd should be considered a main road. There’s going to be traffic and our number one priority should be the safety if pedestrians It’s sad to see that the village no longer listens to its people the people who made Glenview what it is.
Schools are already over populated and deteriorating, this will just add to that.
