In one fell swoop you will destroy downtown Glenview. Trying to get through the light at Glenview and Harlem is already a nightmare. Adding this many rental units, on top of the massive rental development that occurred several years ago, will further destroy the enjoyment of owning a home west of downtown Glenview. This development is not at all what the downtown needs. Further, the congestion this development will bring to an already congested cross street that incorporates a train crossing will likely result in future fatalities. The fact that this development is even contemplated, begs the question as to who is really benefiting because it doesn't seem that it is the residents of Glenview. Safety for the children and other residents of Glenview should be the paramount concern and this development does not reflect that concern. Moreover, this number of rental units does not even seem to be warranted. Do the right thing Glenview, protect the residents from this unreasonable danger.

This corner is already so congested. With children trying to get to school by bike or walking; I worry about the commuter rush. The commuters are so agressive, looking out only to catch the light or train. Pedestrians walking across traffic, to get to the train has been something I’ve observed over the years. This will only get worse.

This proposal is not in the best interest of GV down town - It is architecturally not appealing., and the influx of traffic will only add to more confusion to the spine Street & GV Road, Metra & Amtrak traffic.
Has anyone in the planning committee ever walked, biked or driven their car around at rush hour around the adjacent streets?
This will not be an enhancement for DT GV & property values are already declining!

This building is too massive for this space and it will cause more car congestion around an already busy area. The traffic will definitely make it more dangerous for pedestrians on Pine. Until I saw this rendering, I didn’t realize there was no green space in the whole complex. This plan should not go forward.

It's offensively large and uncomfortably placed in a high-traffic auto/pedestrian/train intersection.

Too big, too congested, too many problems. Trying to turn on Glenview road is already difficult with the trains stopping traffic. It will be unbearable and dangerous many times during the day.

Too dense and massive for the site. Half the at-grade building is a brick wall with parking behind it, not very inviting to the community at all. A shame for such an important civic site (no green space?).

This will add significantly to an already significant traffic problem at Pine/Glenview/Harlem as well as parking problems in that area .

It is shocking that a development this large at such a sensitive area even be proposed. Please, less height and more consideration for affordable units and green space.

I think this is going to be a problem with the concentration of people through the 72 apartments and the shop on the ground floor, plus I do not like the using of public money to benefit a private company that is going to show a profit to the owners of the company. There is also the issue of pedestrian safety crossing the corner of Glenview Road and Pine Street. There is a traffic jam there now. OLPH kids walk to and from school at that crossing. I am opposed to this project.

No green space to even plant a tree. Reduce the height and number of units. Surface parking unfriendly to folks walking on Pine Street

As a Glenview resident, I am opposed to the increased density and congestion in an area that already has traffic and trains, as well as the loss of parking for the trains.

The size of the development overwhelms the site. I don’t think Glenview should approve a development of 5 stories tall when the downtown development plan recommended 4. It will dwarf neighboring building and cut much sunlight from them as well when nothing else is as tall. Please have them reconsider and adjust plans to fit the space and align with the original development plan.

Feels too big, bad traffic implications. Looks nice but scaled down version seems like it would work better
This development is way to dense for this area.
