Glenview is too crowded and the infrastructure has not kept pace with the increase in people.

This development will bring TOO MUCH traffic and congestion to an already congested area. Visit that area any weekday between 3-5PM, and watch the Kids from OLPH riding their bikes, walking across the tracks, and cars backing up when there are numerous rush hour trains. No and No. Please stop this development.

This project is far too large for the proposed location. If the Village of Glenview were not directly involved as a party to the transaction, there is no way this would be approved. Hard to imagine that the village could approve this and simultaneously require other landlords to request parking variances or weigh in at all on proposed uses of space going forward.

This is NOT in keeping with our village atmosphere. Glenview is already burdened by horrendous congestion. (Try driving south from Willow to Glenview Rd down Waukegan any weekday between 5 - 6 pm. ) What is the benefit to current residents? This project will only bring more cars and clog the already jammed area. When will enough be enough? Please STOP!

The Plan Commission must do its duty to the Village Board, and to the residents, and reject the Drake “Mixed-Use” Apartments Project. It admits to creating much more parking demand than it provides to tenants. This will hurt the business district, and overflow onto residential streets. The towering building is very unattractive. No lawns, trees or plantings are included to enhance pedestrian traffic. The project was poorly chosen. It is a disaster while only on paper. Reject it.

As a lifelong resident, I don't want to see Glenview change from a Tree City into a brick city. The zoning changes that allow buildings in the downtown corridor to go right up to the property line have already significantly altered the landscape. The proposed building is enormous and even taller than Midtown Square. It will overwhelm the Bess site, as well as create increased traffic congestion, safety concerns (proposed entrance off Glenview Rd.), decreased parking, and stormwater issues, among others. It was reported that the village turned down a proposal for 27 townhomes when Bess owned the site because of density. Now they're considering a far denser 72 unit apartment building that requires a number of zoning exceptions and adds virtually nothing to the community. Stop the insanity.

We have to see how any of the high rise developments have served the people of Glenview. The increased density, congestion and traffic have not made Glenview a safer, more attractive or pleasant place to live. Nor has there been any financial benefit. If all these developments were such economic engines, we should be awash in cash. Instead, we have seen an increase in empty store fronts and, especially, a dramatic increase in taxes. Glenview should not be in the real estate business. It has usually not turned out well. Who can ever forget that the Glen Towne Center developer, Oliver-McMillan, was allowed to walk away owing us $17 million.

This is just too big for the area. The traffic and parking will be a problem.

Parking is an issue too.

That area is already congested and it's really not appropriate for such a large development.

way too big and dense development. so out of place. The appearance committee needs to seethis again in3d in relation to the rest of downtown. we want shops and restaurants . not a monster building with a cupcake shop. You should have made this a park because you won't see much in tax revenue from empty apartments
