I am not opposed to mental health facilities by any means but for this type of place with little oversight and previous issues to be so close to the elementary schools is worrisome for children walking to/from school.

When we moved to this neighborhood 18 years ago it was because of the schools and the fact that we had the second lowest crime rate in Beaverton. While I see this housing as a necessity, I can not understand putting this so close to 2 elementary schools.

I think this should not be allowed. Small children walking to & from school daily, having to pass this development, might be in danger. If an individual is not taking his/her medication, this could be quite dangerous.

A staggeringly bad site decision, completely removed from the realities of oversight, public safety, transportation support, proximity to schools, and the existing concentration of nearby transitional housing.
These signatures are not a case of NIMBY, but rather a clear reaction that the site has virtually nothing to recommend it for the proposed use.
Instead, it appears so utterly thoughtless that it wreaks of the stench of commercial profit only.

There are so many issues with this site regarding LD business and care model. And issues with WC and their trying to get this approved without any notification. There needs a process for creating these needed facilities that are a great example of our state. If these homes were run well no one would have an issue. But they are run so poorly with constant police and neighborhood complaints someone at the state level needs to look into the care of the disabled. These homes are worse than when we had state run hospitals for the mentally ill.

Our county should be putting children's safety first as they are the most vulnerable members of our community. Housing for mentally ill and homeless within a block or less of two elementary schools is irresponsible and a creates an unnecessary risk for the children at those schools.

As a retired teacher I do not think that housing for the homeless, mentally ill should be near an elementary school! These folks often self medicate and abuse drugs , and even when supervised it is hard to keep them on their medication. I think in this location they are a serious threat to our children!

This area is no place to locate this type of housing. Two elementary schools nearby. Many of the students walk to school and pass this property. Others use Bus 88 to get to other schools. All private housing near this property is single family therefore many school age, and younger, children are in the area.

This is a small safe neighborhood and we want it to stay that way. No transitional people with families and small children.
