Get rid of the stairs - honestly Stoneleigh station is one of the worse stations with over two floors' stairs and no wheel chair access, surely that's just illegal.

As a mother with two young children trying to use the station on my own is near impossible with a buggy having to rely on the kindness of strangers. Step free access would make using the train much easier and safer for us as a family.

I didn't use the the trains at all when I had a young child and buggy because access at this station is so difficult. I can only imagine how isolating it must be for people who struggle with stairs due to health limitations. This is long overdue.

i cannot believe a petition is needed to give access to transport in a community so that ALL its residents (the elderly, the disabled, the very young, those with luggage, the able-bodied) can use it safely!

So very important for those who need disabled access and buggy users. This should be a norm nowadays for all public transport stations.

My husband has a heart condition and has to walk up these steps daily, it would be fantastic if step free access could be sorted out.

When I had 2 babies I had to avoid taking the train as a buggy on those steps was a total nightmare. This is long overdue!

My life would be made so much easier. I struggle with a buggy to use the station or sometimes I walk all the way to Worcester park just so I can use the lift but it's a long walk with a tired toddler in tow. Also how much quicker I would be able to access the Broadway to get to the GP and chemist as there are none on my side of the track. I feel so sorry for disabled people as they are basically trapped in this area. Disgusting in this day and age. Please, please provide us with a ramp of some sort. We desperately need it. Thank you.

This is such a good petition. How there isn't a lift with all the older people living in the area and young parents with prams is an outrage!!!!!

Due to no step free access at Stoneleigh this has severally limited the number of times I have gone on the train with my double buggy from Stoneleigh and when I have had to do so leaving me feeling very stressed and anxious about the journey. Please make it easier for all the parents with prams to use our local station

As a mum with a pram I know this is very necessary. I am lucky as I can walk to Worcester park but those less able to walk, in particular those in buggies are not as fortunate.

The elderly folk of Stoneleigh have no hope nipping to the shops if they don't live on the Broadway side. Equally the station is poor for the volume of footfall now. It's getting too over crowded and needs a revamp.

For disabled, wheel chair bound and mums with toddlers this is overdue ....even elderly people struggle with the stairs and luggage....if other stations can have step free access why not Stoneleigh ...

This should of happened two years ago when the station was undergoing upgrade works. I've often seem parents struggle with prams and it's a no go area for anyone who is wheelchair bound.

Step free would have allowed me to travel on the train when I had little ones in buggies. Really difficult to manage the steps for Mums and for elderly people.

i hate lugging my nephew and niece up and down the stairs in their buggy. Not many people offer to help and it puts a lot of strain on my back

Supply a large lift to allow buggies, wheel chairs and the elderly to have easy access to the station.
it certainly is needed
