The stairs make it very difficult for members of the public to use the train service. My nan also had a fall down the stairs a couple of years ago. It is increasingly hard for members of the public and there is also a big safety hazard.

I have struggled so many years with shopping and buggies over these steps I can't begin to imagine how the less mobile cope.

i visit Stoneleigh now and again and whenever my knee plays up i find these steps to be a true pain in the bum, why is there no access for disabled i thought the rail network would be legally obligated to provide that

Stoneleigh station is impossible for me to use with my buggy. I have to walk to/from Worcester Park where there are lifts and ramps to avoid carrying my two children and the buggy. Not acceptable!

I see and help wherever possible people struggling with pushchairs, luggage etc. In this day and age, it makes no sense to have a public amenity with absolutely no access for the elderly, infirm or parents with pushchairs.

4 weeks after my C Section I had to take my daughter to the doctors on Stoneleigh Broadway, I had to carry her and her pram up the stairs and down on my way there and way back, it was so painful for both me and her especially as I was not meant to be lifting or carrying anything as I could have seriously injured myself or split my internal scars that were still healing! It's disgusting that you have not put in a lift or ramp for mothers / fathers and disabled people

Having to climb the steps on crutches for a year whilst recovering from a RTA was horrendous! I fully support this petition.

Desperately needed for both older people who you see struggling but also mums with prams. I struggled terribly trying to get to platform for 1st 2 or so years with my baby.

this would be a Godsend to me , trying to go up and down with a buggy is not fun.. Also there are many people in the morning with mobility issues who struggle daily up and down the stairs.. Just spend a morning there and observe!

We have a high level of elderly residents and families with small children needing to use pushchairs on both sides of the railway track. This would enable more people to access the trains and not use cars for short journeys.

I have two young children, impossible to use the station if I was on my own. Even with my husband it's a nightmare with the sheer volume of stairs. I also see people with disabilities struggling, not good enough

Really pleased to see this petition as step free access would make Stoneleigh a much more viable option for numerous local residents, including parents with young children, the elderly and disabled residents, and visitors. It would not only benefit the Broadway but allow more people to use SW trains to travel to Stoneleigh instead of travelling to Epsom or Worcester Park and then finding alternative transport to Stoneleigh. This currently puts many of the above sectors of the community off from travelling by train at all to commute to Stoneleigh.

Very difficult to get a pushchair up and down the steps without relying on the goodwill of other rail users.

The station needs to be more accessible for elderly and disabled and it would generate more business for the Broadway for similar reasons

Having a pushchair and trying to carry it up the many stairs and down again with two kids in tow is very difficult and often I cannot use this station which is annoying as it means I have to drive to a more accessible station which isn't ideal when I live round the corner from Stoneleigh station
