This would be fantastic. When we're going anywhere on the train with cases (and often this involves travel with an elderly relative) we have to go to Worcester Park and use the slope access and/or lifts.

Stoneleigh station should be accessible to all. Step free access would make a huge difference to so many in the community.

These steps are very difficult as you get older and are carrying suitcases. They are fine if you are fit and healthy. But not everyone is.

Steps also needed in order to access local shops and this is particularly true for the elderly who are often cut off completely.

Being a mum of 2 youngsters having to haul a pram up and down the stairs is dangerous and hard work. This in fact is a safety hazard as put one foot wrong and you are putting you and your child's life at risk!

Not only do my wife and I struggle with prams at the station but frequently see the same disabled people using the stairs. When anyone offers help they always refuse with a sense of pride. Step free access will make such a difference to everyone using the station

Is it any hardship to allow people who pay good money to travel from Stoneleigh station to be assisted to the platforms via a ramp , it would make their travels so much easier including all the Mums & Dads I often see struggling with their Buggies & not forgetting the partially sighted and disabled travellers!!

Travelling by train can be essential for some, especially the elderly & those with mobility difficulty, to maintain their independence & contact with loved ones. Step free access will be a very welcome contribution to Stoneleigh station.

step free access would also make life easier for the elderly and those on crutches as well as mums with buggies/prams. It is long overdue
