Surely under DDA laws the current situation is illegal??

It is fairly disgusting that in this day and age many Stoneleigh residents are precluded from using a train as they are unable to navigate the steps.

This is fundamentally a necessity. SWT and the Dept of Transport must recognise the needs of this community.

I have two young children and with a buggy it is difficult to use this station with all the steps. I have even used Worcester Park station instead as it has a lift. We normally access Stoneleigh Broadway through the alley way although it is out of the way. However there is currently some rude graffiti under the bridge that I do not wish my children to see every time we pass.

Not only just for buggies, I have struggled with a heavy suitcase going up to London.

We would like to back Councillor Dalton and all the officers for showing their support for step free access at Stoneleigh station.

As a mother who frequently uses the train, I would really like to see step free access at Stoneleigh station. This issue affects everyone from parents with small children to disabled people and the elderly that struggle to use the stairs.

Accessibility is needed for all elderly, less able and parents.

Must be one of the most difficult stations to access trains or the other side of the area.

I live close wallking distance to Stoneleigh Station but when my daughter visits with her 3 small children I have to drive to Worcester Park to pick them up because this does have step free access. The sooner Stoneleigh becomes step free the better for all families in the immediate area.

Long overdue for those who struggle with the many steps at the station

I've always thought it was ridiculous that we don't provide easy access to the station for the elderly and disabled. A lot of people rely on public transport to get out and about but this is made into a challenge if they can't even get into the train station! Step Free Access is long overdue.

We have lived here for almost 40 years & have never been able to understand the ludicrous access situation to Stoneleigh Station. Mums with buggies, the elderly & disabled are facing 'discrimination' every time the want to make a train journey! About time something was done about it.
