Craftsman style of home should absolutely be allowed 3 paint colors. Limiting it to 2 colors is ridiculous. It will loose its charm & decrease value. It was allowed in Stonebridge community when built, so should be grandfathered in.

I live in SBR as well and find this to be in distaste. Consult with a designer before making judgement calls that can negatively impact the value of our properties.

We have 5 colors on our craftsman’s style home in Stonebridge ranch. Our base color is red barn door. It is dark and beautiful and was approved by HOA

Regents Park, Mayberry Park and Freedom Park are unique to Stonebridge because of their Americana Craftsman Style. They warrant 3 or more color changes that are historically acceptable to the Craftsman design.

We were cited as well for having 2 different trim colors. The compliance officer even said it looks very nice but was giving us a violation notice because it broke the rules even though the paint scheme is legal. So even though it looks beautiful we are detracting from the neighborhood aesthetic per the letter. I mean seriously???!!!

Dark trim is a trademark characteristic of craftsman homes. It is also very classy and tasteful by modern standards. Regents Park, Mayberry Park and Freedom Park have also always had three paint colors per house. One primary and two accent. This is another trademark characteristic of craftsman homes. Requesting that dark accent colors be allowed, as one of three colors on homes in these villages, as it has always been. We have met with great designers as well as sherwin Williams paint consultants. Craftsman homes have far too many details to be limited to a mere two paint colors. We were told that the “one trim color” rule was created as a new universal rule for all of stonebridge. Craftsman homes are very different than brick or stone homes, they require much more paint and should not be forced under the exact same paint restrictions.

I believe Regents Park is a unique community within Stonebridge Ranch. It warrants special consideration with regards to the homes paint colors.

All homes should be able to select colors that complement the architectural features and fit with the community. This should also allow for some flexibility in tasteful accent doors, trim paint, as long as the aim is to beautify and increase the value of the home or neighborhood.

As a resident of Mayberry Park, I fully support the multi-colored, traditional Craftsman color schemes that have been used by both the builders of the homes (Coventry and Darling) as well as the historical color palettes that have previously been approved. My home currently features five historically accurate colors and was approved by the SBR HOA when I had my home repainted in 2009. Please consider the importance of allowing these three SBR Villages to continue to stand out among the brick and mortar homes in the surrounding Villages. One of the reasons my family chose Mayberry Park was so that we could enjoy the diversity in architectural style and visual appeal these three Villages represent. Do not water down the design approach of these homes, or smother the current homeowners' desire to maintain an authentic, small town Americana look.

I support the use and application of dark paint colors to be used as accent colors, including black with a very light exterior whole house paint color.
