As is noted in the link provided below, the City of Ottawa currently has a process in place where by we are able to request of the City to reclassify any public park to be accessible for dogs in a number of varying ways.

As there are already a number of dog owners in Stittsville currently utilizing Par La Ville Park, we are aiming towards changing the laws of one of the local parks so our four legged friends can play each day.

It's been noted throughout the year that not all parks are utilized all year or even all hours of the day. As a fact, because public parks are closed after 7pm, this would provide an opportunity where by dogs could be permitted to come and play. Else, fencing in an already existing park for dogs to play in.

As there are already a number of available parks within the Stittsville area, I feel confident in saying that one park could be converted fairly easily with minimal impact.

I'm sure that all patrons of the public parks would love to see everyone playing in a fair and safe manner and for this reason I am requesting your support in this effort.
