Not with standing the horrendous visual impact this will have on what is an iconic piece of headland, I can't see how the commercials of this given the build and infra structure required to support adds up. Call me a cynic but is there an alternative motive here in the long run?

Don't spoil a unique landscape as this headland. The hatchery does great work - surely it can find somewhere more suitable.

Please do not spoil this beautiful, peaceful part of our heritage, surely there must be a more suitable location where there's already development, traffic & lighting?

I strongly object to this proposed development on the grounds that it will irreversibly destroy a designated AONB and SSI. The building application is also flawed by a staggering lack of understanding of the area and the requirements of such a building in a remote and exposed site. It is shameful that they are putting such an application in with such little regard for proper research.

i was brought up at Hawkers cove? We scattered my dad's ashes at stepper point when I was 15. How could anyone want to change this one unspoilt area?!

Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver and all other restauranteurs and hoteliers, take lobster off your menus and educate the tourists who eat in your establishments that there are plenty more fish in the sea and more sustainable ways of producing lobster, such as utilising Padstows existing hatchery. Do not spoil the North Cornwall coastline - go to Iceland for a whole lobster for £10!

This proposal is outrageous. The beautiful countryside and landscape should not be developed. It will negatively impact the inhabitants, the nature and wildlife. Not acceptable.

I don't think this area of outstanding natural beauty should be built, if you approve this then what next a visitor centre!! Leave as is and don't touch, there's so much beautiful wildlife that would be disturbed and nesting birds, think about that but just yourselves!!

Its good that the hatchery will provide jobs for local people but the location on Stepper point is absolutely wrong. The impact it will have to the natural environment will be devastating.

Although I understand that the water further up the estuary isn't of the best quality for raising Lobsters, any development on the coastline is a slippery slope. It won't be long before some visitor wants a house out there, and that can't happen. We've already sold our country to the highest bidders.
