We are asking the Pacifica City Council to renew with reasonable and favorable terms, the lease of Stephen Johnson at the Pacifica Center for the Arts. Steve is a world-renown photographer and educator, who has brought visitors from all over the world to Pacifica, has been an outstanding citizen of Pacifica, and has helped put Pacifica on the map through his photography, newsletters, lectures and exhibitions. Stephen Johnson Photography is a valuable asset and enhances the cultural value of the community. We urge the City Council to act positively and in good faith, to negotiate terms that preserve this important state-of-the art facility for Mr. Johnson to continue his significant contributions to education, the arts and the community.
