The payment of nearly £1m bonus to Stephen Hester at RBS is nothing short of disgusting. Remember RBS is essentially funded by the British Public. That means our taxes have paid for this. At a time when everyone is feeling the squeeze and thousands of public sector workers are being made redundant, how can this possibly be right? Our spineless goverment will bleat on about how they are powerless to intervene. That it was their predecessors that have allowed this to happen, so lets go straight to the source and ask Mr. Hester to donate the money to charity. After all, just because one group of idiots have allowed this farce to arise, it doesn't mean Mr. Hester has to accept the payment, but he could accept it and then do the right thing. Come on Mr. Hester, show us that not all fat cats are immoral sleaze bags!
