বাংলাদেশের পাঁচ তারকা প্রাইভেট হাসপাতালগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম অ্যাপোলো হাসপাতালে গত বছর অক্টোবর মাসে একজন রুগির এনজিওপ্লাস্টি করার সময় ব্যবহৃত ৩ টি হার্টের রিং বাবদ ( করোনারি স্টেন্ট) দাম দিতে হয়েছিল ৬ লাখ ২২ হাজার টাকা (ছবির নিচে ব্যবহার করা রিংগুলোর নাম প্রস্তুতকারীর নামসহ দেয়া আছে)। বিভিন্ন সূত্র নেয়া তথ্য অনুসারে যেগুলোর সেই সময়কার আমদানি মুল্য বড়জোর ২১+২২+৫০= ৯৩ হাজার টাকা। বাংলাদেশে সরকার অনুমোদিত সব ধরনের মেডিকেল ডিভাইস শুল্কমুক্ত। তাহলে ৯৩ হাজার টাকায় আমদানি করা জিনিস গ্রাহক পর্যায়ে কিভাবে সোয়া ৬ লাখ টাকায় বিক্রি হয়? এর মধ্যে রিং সরবারহকারী, ডাক্তার, হাসপাতাল, কার কত লাভ? আমরা জানি না, প্রতিদিন প্রাইভেট হাসপাতালগুলোর ক্যাথল্যাবে কয়জন রুগির কয়টা হার্টের রিং পরানো হয়। তবে ধরনা করা যায়, সংখ্যাটা ১০০ এর আশপাশে হবে।
উট পাখির মত বালুতে মুখ গুঁজে না থেকে প্রকৃত তথ্য দিন। হার্টের রিং নিয়ে গড়ে ওঠা অশুভ চক্রকে প্রতিহত করুন। এখন পর্যন্ত বর্তমান ওষুধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তর যথেষ্ট আন্তরিক, প্রয়োজন শুধু নিজেদের কথাগুলো তথ্যসহ তাদের কাছে উপস্থাপন করা। (সংগত কারনেই রুগি ও হৃদরোগ বিশেষজ্ঞর নাম গোপন রাখা হল)

It's a great burden for the most poverty stricken people of our county. So authority should monitor and appease the grievances of the mass people regarding the unreasonable high price of life saving stents.Thanks.

my father had stenting. we could afford but many couldn't in 2003. if stents price is lowered then many would be able go live some more time.
