I'm very sad to have to be signing this petition. Stephan should be receiving an Honorary Degree without question.

A little act of compassion and understanding is all that's needed to help a grieving family move forward.

He worked so hard at hat University, why should it go unnoticed? It's disgraceful.

Stef deserves this as he worked so hard through all the difficulties he was facing. It would mean so much to his family and friends. I'll miss you Stef, always.

He deserves it and I cant see a reason to deny it other than a horrible sense of elitism on behalf of the university.

Deserves a degree especially when you consider his contribution compared to celebrities who get them for not much.

Such a heartbreaking story. I hope the university reconsiders their actions. I always assumed it standard that the university award a degree upon a students passing as a symbol of respect and appreciation to the student and his/ her family.

Dreadful news, very sad that Stefans family cannot feel supported by the university there son called home for almost 4 years. Mental health affects us all and it's a great shame this has had to come down to a petition to award him with honorary degree.

Mental health needs to be recognised and dealt with as quickly as physical health emergencies.

It shouldn't need a petition to do this. Shame in those who declined it in the first place.

From what I've heard about Stefan, he absolutely deserves the credit and recognition. To deny this because of failure would underline the need for the powers that be to look at their overall duty to students for the future.

Stef had an incredible heart and a golden personality. I personally couldn't think of anything nicer for his family to have in caring memory of him. He would do anything for anyone, so let's give back and do something for him.
