Do the right thing. How many of these honorary degrees get awarded to people who have never contributed anything significant to education, but may be a tad famous at something. Honour your students!

Stefan's contribution to the University and to the students at Aberystwyth was huge and it would be outrageous not to recognise this by awarding his full degree certificate

Knowing full well how little the doctors in Aberystwyth care for a student's mental health, I can say that Stefan must have had a hell of a battle. I didn't know him but I know he deserves this.

Stefan's family should be awarded posthumously both his degree and HEAR in recognition for his contribution to the university .All of his achievements should be given the proper recognition they deserve .please do the right thing here .....

For such outstanding contributions I cannot understand why you would give this award. He was a credit to the University and, obviously, a credit to his family.

If his academic trajectory indicates that he would have passed the failed modules then it is possible to award an agrotat degree. This is quite common in Universities.
