Escrow is terrible. Secure, yes, but it shouldn't be forced onto the community to remove trade holds. I, and many others I have discussed this issue with, agree it should be removed, or that it should be optional. Optional given that, users will be alerted if or if not the person they are trading with has Escrow enabled. Plus, those who wish not to use their mobile phone number or those who don't have one or the Steam application are using third-party applications that, while confirmed 'safe', still is a very sketcy and not completely secure system. Thank you for your time and consideration.

This is an unnecessary complication to a system that is supposed to be simple. Making trades on Steam should be done in an efficient and timely manner without having to go back and hunt down your phone (or tablet, as I do) and confirm the trade there. It's just unnecessary and worse, inconvenient. Plus, this system also adds insult to injury, seeing as how Half-Life 3 has STILL not been announced, and Valve's primary interest is no longer in making games, but making money. Worse still, what happens if a Steam user doesn't HAVE an Android device or iPhone? Did Valve ever stop to consider THAT? Of course not.

I just want to make 1$ from trading cards, why do i have to wait so long? why would i care about someone stealing 1$ from me? i care more about steam telling me to get a phone that costs around 60$ just so i can get 1$.
