Valve, you've made a lot of smart choices and smart games. However, if you go through with this, this will -- by far -- be your biggest mistake ever. Not only would this "escrow" update destroy many websites and communities related to trading, but it would also put both them and Valve as a whole millions upon millions of dollars in debt, along with crashing the in-game economies.
And no, this wouldn't be something that could "simply be fixed or changed". Allowing this to go through would completely turn away the trading side of your games' fanbases, which has helped keep them alive for all this time.
Please, if you're the company that I've known for all these years, the one that truly cares, then prove it to me. Don't let your reputation and community go up in flames.
Get rid of Escrow. Leave trading the way it is.

This is ridiculous, valve should know better than to assume every one of it's users have a smart phone and require one to be connected to trade. They might as well remove the market from steam.
