I don't even see how this is safer than email confirmation?

Yo, I know this is to stop a lot of the complaints involving people carelessly getting scammed, but there has got to be a better way that doesn't involve destroying trading almost completely. Save a few to kill off the majority? That doesn't sound fun, like, at all.

I disagree with the new "feature" if you could call it that.

Escrow cannot happen. It will practically kill trading, considering the amount of people who don't have access to the steam app, either because they don't have a smartphone, or because the app is not compatible with it, or it doesn't have enough memory, or ANY reason.

Thats crazy, I never trade except to give something to my friend or vice versa, I don't wanna have to wait 2+ days when I need gunboats or something in like 30 seconds.

This will kill lots of automated tradin and betting sites made around Dota2, TF2 and CS:GO, so i don't think this is good idea.

It is hard enough dealing with kids and foreigners (outside of US) that don't know how to send a trade offer or confirm a trade via email. Now you want to make trading even more difficult?!?!? No thank you, the community does not need this escrow feature. I specialize in item procurement. Someone will ask me for a tf2 misc, i'll find it, trade for it, and then trade the user that requested the item. This escrow account will completely destroy this method of trading.

There is a balance between preventing scams, and trading freely. This is taking it too far.

Valve you're killing yourself. Adding this feature is like a suicide. RIP Trading, RIP Volvo, RIP Steam Economy. Thx Valve for nothing -_-

I really hope this is a joke and not something that Valve will actually do, if it's real, then there will be some serious backlash. Just look what happened with the paid mods.
Bad Valvo :(
