god dammit, having an item trade locked when you buy it off the market is annoying but having items getting trade locked after trades will make it just pointless to trade

I enjoy being able to give players weapons when they need them, even if I don't know them, the Email requirement was already atrocious, but you could at least opt out, this new mobile necessity hurts things even more. Not only will this hurt (and be one step closer to killing) hardcore trading, it really disadvantages any sort of casual trades, if a friend needs a concherer for MVM, or I want to give some random people some random stuff, or I just want to frikken make a trade, I shouldn't have to deal with escrows, or NEED to have a phone on me. This whole thing is starting because you want to combat people making dumb trades, but taking away freedoms of everyone for a bit of security for the people who don't understand how the system works is not the answer.

This will most likely damage the trading communities and also the company. As some have said, some people don't have access to a smart device. If Valve were to go through with this, they may lose a lot of money.

The "Escrow" update would ruin Steam and all it is worth. It might stop ALOT of scams and would make the economy of steam 200% Better, but it isn't the right way to do this. Send me donation trades. Valve is making Trading take longer than ever. They are ending the use of trade bots. The worst part is, it still won't stop idiot kids from getting scammed.
