Bah. Screw this, I have no idea what Valve was thinking. If this doesn't work then it's the end of trading as we know it...

Let us pray that this so-called "Escrow" Update wont be apprehended by Valve ,
For This Update Will Kill The Steam Community.

This will completely destroy item procurement. When a user tells me they need a specific item, I find that item, trade for it, then trade the user that requested the item. This won't be possible with escrow.

Valve, we don't need this. Think of all the bots and websites and services that don't need to rely on authentication. Something like this is only going to kill the economy.

Dear Valve,
If you are apprehending this Shitty Feature , you should realize that the whole Steam Trading Community will fall , and you will likely start a Cyber World War 3 here . Just saying.

Being someone who works in this field, an update like this would by far destroy several of the websites that keep the CS:GO and TF2 markets alive. If Valve wants to lose a lot of money, then yes: they should continue to push this update. However, if they intend to make both their players and employees happy, they will not go forward with this.

This is honestly an insult to members of the economy that valve themselves built and fueled. Was there any consideration about the people who want to be involved but don't have a smartphone? The e-mail verification system already in place does well enough to counteract these problems valve is facing. Something like this would destroy dozens of websites dedicated to the economy of valve games.

This is our time... to fight, or fall...
We must raise our swords and shields, mount our steeds, and head off to BATTLE!!!
No more, will we be controlled by Valve...
No more, will we haft to SUFFER from their trading policies.... Such as not being able to trade an item after buying it off the market for one week...
And no more, will we crumble under their rule! Today, we will rise up from our seats, and take ACTION towards this monstrosity of a feature!
If we don't take action now everything we've worked for... everything we've saved up for, traded, bought, sold... Will all be for nothing....
We must all rise, and FIGHT! Gather all your knights my noble warriors.. for we must sign this petition with everything we've got!!! We must rise up, and show that our opinions DO MATTER, that what WE believe is right for the community, and what is wrong DOES COUNT!
For GLORY!!!... For VICTORY!!!... For WHAT'S RIGHT!!!... For CHANGE!!!
*raises sword*
*points it towards Valve*
ATTAAAACK!!!
*Everyone who supports this rides into battle, as the scene stops, right before my blade meets with Valves blade*
