If Escrow is added, its gonna make trading a lot harder. Especially from third-party sites like scrap.tf
Itll also ruin trade bots. Rip.

This really dumb and terrible i make accidental trades all the time and need to trade back and forth constantly. This is the single most dumbest thing iv ever seen! When we said we wanted trading protection we didn’t mean this mess!

This will also hurt trading bots for TF2, such as scrap.tf and tidy.tf

Just because a some "less-informed" individuals fall victim to scam-artists, that doesn't mean that you make trading far less accessible and efficient for every Steam user. Many Steam users cannot afford smartphones, or own a smartphone that is running an unsupported platform. The systems that were in place were more than enough protection for even the most casual traders. Valve, please don't ruin trading for a large majority of the Steam community.

I'm not a big trader and I understand that this is being done to increase security, but this change would not only inconvenience me and tons of honest users, it would probably do little to nothing to actually to stop scammers from stealing accounts and items.

Does valve know how to keep its customer base? I mean, seven day trade bans were bad enough but this takes the biscuit.

We the Users don't need this. Steam is protected enough already with a 7 day tag trade ban if an item has been purchased from the market or the IG store. This would definately destroy trading in general and a bunch of community-made trading sides. No Valve...just no.

So this is basicly the way Valve wants to kill the trading community of ANY game?

I personally have a smartphone and steam authentication through it, but this really hurts people that don't. Smart phones can be expensive, restricting people from a servic that already has other limitations and costs isn't fair.

I can somewhat see what they were trying to do, but this would break most trading sites.
