I'm screwed if this goes through.. So are a lot of friendly trade websites and other people like me who do not have phones..
Also, why link a phone to your Steam account when it is so easy to hack a smartphones these days? It's easy to get your information from a phone more so than just hacking a simple Steam account.. As long as your email password isn't the same as your Steam password, you have a rather large window of time to change passwords... Yeeshh..
How about instead of implimenting something like this, make an educational tutorial on the likes of trading including things such as phishing links, what good email verification does, and what scammers look like? It'd give Steam Support a break.. God knows they need it.

This update will kill a lot of users on steam and take away a large portion of the playerbase.
