It's at times like this that we miss the EK Development Corporation. SLC seems rather less interested in EK than the rest of SL.

Huge loss for the local economy if hmrc leaves EK

A big mistake to move so many people out of EK. Will effect the town significantly and the lives of those who live here with their families who will also suffer. Travel links already overstretched and no adequate parking at the train stations for those who can't get there till after the school run. Not practical and a total waste of tax payers money. Stay in EK!

Criminal to move when there is no need. Pure waste of money and resources

Keep HMRC in EK! I've had family work in Centre 1 since the day it opened. How could they?!?

It will devastate the East Kilbride community moving these jobs out of the town. It will also make travel a lot harder for staff

Why !! Where is the justification for this ? To cut staff Nos ? they appear to be under staffed at this time To cut Accomodation costs ? Existing premises were built for them ! Idiotic decision

Seems a complete waste of money when the current Centre 1 was custom built for the job.

Please keep this tax office in EK, there are far too many jobs at stake and it would cause a huge economic problem for the local area should the move proceed

I wish for the tax office to stay in East kilbride

Economic vandalism pure and simple. 2700 job losses will devastate East Kilbride and South Lanarkshire.

My son works there, and so many other people in EK do...It would be a terrible loss to the town!!

It's a disgrace to close one of the town's last major employers. What benefit is there of moving into Glasgow when you have a successful operation and facility here in ek. Think again!!
