Staying at East Kilbride will be landmark and pride for the local community
It shows sense of patriotism and government consideration for local establishment for the local people
Let's not make this another reference to the new generation, that once upon a time there was a local tax office but now gone due to marginalization or centralization
I think we should stay in East Kilbride as HMRC has had a presence here for so long it will have a big negative impact on the economy of the town.

Queensway House is an extremely important part of the wider East Kilbride community and it's closure would cause untold damage to that.

The recent Panama and Paradise leaked papers show that tax avoidance and evasion is at an all time high. HMRC should be investing in additional staff to identify and close tax loopholes which are being exploited by unscrupulous individuals and businesses as well as close the substantial tax gap.
Closing local offices makes it easier for tax avoiders to evade tax whilst having a devastating impact on the local economy.
HMRC need to revisit this decision to keep local offices open in all our towns and cities.

HMRC jobs are vital to the community of East Kilbride, many of the jobs will be transferred to Glasgow and Gartcosh. this in turn will create many local people having to commute to these areas and therefore will impact on trains/parking/roads.

Movement of the work and loss of the jobs from East Kilbride will not only be detrimental to the staff, there will be a devastating impact on the local economy felt way beyond East Kilbride, and yet another step backwards in the levels of service offered to taxpayers and businesses.

Please keep these offices open, East Kilbride would lose hundreds & hundreds of jobs if they were to shut. Stay in the UK
