I support the erection of a Statue honoring the great Walter Payton of the Chicago Bears. Walter Payton has always stood as one of the greatest sports role models of all time. Walter's passionately fierce play on the field and his loving and caring actions off the field have always made him a role model for role models. Walter symbolized all that is great about Chicagoans. Walter always gave more than 100% effort with all the might and devotion one could possibly expect from any teammate, co-worker, family member or friend. If you love what Walter Payton means to the city of Chicago, please sign this petition.

The stories you are sharing about Walter are incredible. I am currently gathering these testimonials to present to the city council.

The momentum for a Sweetness statue is absolutely incredible. Chicago clearly remembers exactly what he brought to this city.

34 forever. He did so much for the city and the community. Best player to wear the uniform.

Walter was the absolute best. So much heart. A statue would be a beautiful way to honor him.

The greatest Bear ever. Sweetness deserves a statue downtown for all to see. LONG OVERDUE.
