Faculty & staff members at BGSU have decided to take out a full-page ad in the BG News to affirm that we support a culture of diversity and inclusion at BGSU. All faculty members at BGSU are invited to sign. The petition will close 4/18/13. As of 4/17/13 at 7:00 p.m. we have officially raised all the money needed for the ad ($1,115)--way to go folks!
When you sign the petition, your name, along with the statement below, will be printed on a full-page ad in the BG News.
"We are BGSU faculty and staff members. We support same-sex marriage and the right of all people to marry (or not) and have children (or not), regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. While we respect dissenting views on same-sex marriage, we do not support arguments based on hate. We are also committed to fighting racism, and support the rights of all people to study, socialize, and live life without threats, bigotry, and hate. We stand against hate in all of its forms. Not in our town. Not on our campus."
