I support the petition. I've spoken with a few of the novelist of the legends timeline. I'll try to re reach out Mr. Kevin J. Anderson and Mr. Timothy Zahn again and see if I can reach Mr. Lucas himself.

I've collected and enjoyed the EU since I was 12...I'm 34 now! surely they just need to set the new films earlier if they want to keep Chewie involved and slot it around the other stories already done! Just my few pennies worth. Hope this works.

We should be rewarded with a unified Star Wars saga in 2015. The requirement to be a Star Wars director needs to include building all new films harmoniously with the literary canon.

I think another Star Wars movie is great but I think it's lazy to decide that the EU is no longer cannon. It seems to me that Disney said, "Wow, it's going to be too hard to try and come up with an original story that fits into this universe. Let's just make that universe non-existent so we can do what we want." Were all of the EU things that were considered cannon run past Lucas first?

Star Wars only survived the gap between original films and Prequels thanks to the EU.
Why would Disney want to Alienate a fan base from which it intends to draw revenue over the forthcoming years.
Loyalty by Disney can only work in their favour. Otherwise like the Empire they may find themselves facing a New Rebellion.

the EU is what kept star wars alive while lucas ignored it. and it shouldn't be relegated away from being the true universe just because disney are too lazy to use it

Please allow the EU to continue under the Legends banner, we have been following these stories and characters for years and need to know what happens to them.

The EU was perfectly fine. You didn't have to rebuild everything, and get rid of a whole load of great characters to pave the way for a "Cowboy Jedi".

As a long-time fan and investor in EU content, I feel as though the Legends Universe should be respected enough that it is either re-canonized as an alternate universe, else at the very least continued. Release the Sword of the Jedi books, please, Lucasfilm?

we love the entire Star Wars Eu Saga! Please do not cancel it. The Star Wars world is so fantastic end epic and wide, and there are so many people love it, that will be a crime to erase it.
Beside the old republic era is one of the best thing that they have ever done.
