If you want to reboot, so reboot. But do not throw away good stories to satisfy Disney and the filmmakers. This is disrespectful.

Please do not destroy the existing history of the Star Wars universe. It is not an impossible task a make film that could exist with the established events. I love Star Wars with all my heart and the fear that it will be all wiped out for the sake of new film breaks me. As much as I love Star Wars and want to welcome and love this new film, I cannot if it erases so much of the world I've come to love.

I have been reading this vast story since I was a child. I grew up with it. It would be a terrible thing if it was all for naught simply because of a new set of movies. Preserve the timeline!

There should be no difficulty in creating a film that does not destroy the EU and should be engaging. The original films were made with out any of the information we know today and worked fine. They should just start up with a new story in the world that has been created in the EU and focus on the new story. They can drop hints and comments about the EU but don't need to explain it. They never explained the Clone Wars in the Original Trilogy, why would they need to explain the Vong War now. They can just say "well I haven't seen this since the Vong Crisis...." and have some young character say "You fought in the Vong Crisis" and move on. It Keeps the EU fans happy and keeps the "Mystery" of the lived-in Universe for those how loved that about the original films and haven't read the books. They could leave most of the EU characters out and just do a name drop here or their Like was done in the Prequels.
