All children have the right to a safe, in-person school year. This decision lacks leadership needed to ensure the safety of children and staff.

70 degree days are not too hot. It is safer if the students, who are unvaccinated, wear masks. Give them mask breaks if they need them.

Maybe if the school fixed the AC and met the state temperature regulations this wouldn’t be an issue. Why does the administration insist on creating a dangerous and unsafe environment for our children? Wear the Mask.

If the heat is considered so extreme you can't maintain basic safety standards, then the school should be closed.

Our children need to be given the best chance of staying in person. Following the mask mandate is the best way of doing this.

70s and 80s are not excessive heat. Mask up and keep the children safe.

I feel this decision violates the governors mandate and puts my grandson at great risk. It’s time that our school administration acts for the good of all students and not just those with whose parents make their lives uncomfortable

Stop with the bull. Stop with the selfishness. If y'all would have followed COVID-19 recommendations to begin with, we likely wouldn't be arguing on if you can muster putting your big boy/girl pants on to keep everyone safe. But you didn't. So now this. You aren't doing the MINIMUM while asking our educators to do the maximum. Be part of the solution rather than the problem.

The goal is to keep our kids in person at school. We MUST follow what medical and scientific experts have advised as the best way to keep our kids safe and IN school!

Parents were told that this would be the rule and as the temperature is not excessive heat, this can not be changed at the very last minute. This rule should be upheld for the safety of the children as well as parents and grandparents at home.

Safety and health of all students and staff MUST be the priority. 80 degrees is far from excessive heat.
