It is negligent to put students and teachers at risk, especially after a holiday! Next week does not have extreme temperatures. Follow the mask mandate!

As a student, I truly feel as though the administration is trying its absolute hardest to ruin the school year, and compromise everyone’s health and safety. Keep the schools safe. Wear a Mask.

We need to start off safely. We need to follow the directives as set. The upcoming week does not meet the excessive heat as outlined by the governor.

I am frustrated, angry and deeply disappointed that a decision of this magnitude was shared on the Sunday night of a holiday weekend with no time for discourse or discussion before implementation. Such a severe lack of authentic collaboration and community decision making.

I have young relatives who attend school here. Using the “excessive heat” exemption for this week when the high temps are forecast to be 76, 81, 73, and 72 is clearly an abuse of a loophole. Why isn’t the district instead taking advantage of available funding to install a/c throughout the district to make the cleans rooms safer and more conducive to learning for both now and the future? Do NOT put my young relatives’ health in jeopardy!
