Raise the money needed to do the right thing: enable later start times for high schoolers and earlier times for elementary children. It makes sense from a health, development and safety standpoint. Maybe the County will need more bus drivers (if it means a narrower range of start times) and maybe it will mean more after school programs (for Elem kids whose older siblings are still in school) but it's still the right thing to do.

My kids lived through this ridiculously early schedule. They were always tired and struggled to stay awake in am's!

With athletes having games starting at 7pm on a school night (i.e basketball and volleyball) and typically practicing late in the afternoon/evening to accommodate coaches work schedules and gym availability, it would be nice for them to not have to wake up before 6am to get to school.

Our children are important and CCPS needs to implement this for the 2016/2017 school year.

Please address this issue this year! This change is too important to put off any longer.

My son is currently in middle school starting at the high school time of 7:30. Way too early!

Elementary School should start earlier - our child will be in Kindergarten next year and my wife and I both leave for work before 7am.

My high schoolers go to bed before we do and are gone before we are awake. We'd love to have breakfast with them again.

As a parent and former CCPS high school teacher, I believe this change is long overdue and very necessary.

Our administrators are ignoring our children's health in favor of the status quo.

I understand the financial concerns of changing school start times but in the long run you need to make your decisions based on what is good and right for students and their learning. If you want to be a top school system in the state and country, you need to put students' well being first and foremost in your decision making process.

My 16 yr old son is learning to drive. It always scares me when he yawns as he gets behind the wheel before sunrise. What are we teaching our children with such early days?

My daughter is a freshman at TDHS- I strongly believe that a change in start times for high schools in our county would be a positive move in the right direction.
