As a parent of a high school student I agree that my son has a hard time leaving the house at 620 to catch the bus. He comes home daily and sleeps for three hours because he's tired. Then has trouble going to bed early and the cycle continues.

As the mother of two young daughters, I hope this is remedied before they head off to high school. Sleep is crucial, especially for growing bodies and brains.

Having to get up before 6.00am for teenagers makes High School more stressful than it needs to be. A later start is essential for the well-being and success of High Schoolers.

As a mother of a 9th grader, I feel she doesnt get enough rest. And Im sure other teens dont either, especially the ones that have jobs after school. I feel this would be a positive change for our chesterfield county high school students.

Do what is in the best interests of these kids per the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the National Association of School Nurses, and the Society of Pediatric Nurses, based on consistent and compelling science!

I had four daughters attend Chesterfield Public Schools. The data are very clear about the negative impact of this schedule - it needs to change!.

Thanks so much for your support. The School Board needs to hear that a lot of parents want this issue addressed sooner rather than later. They represent us and are charged with optimizing students' success. We need to make our voices heard! Please spread the word and encourage others to sign as well.

Our current schedule is bad for younger and older students. I was sad to learn the discussion has been tabled

Picking up kids at 5:40 AM is absurd. We need to respect the biological needs of our children.
