This landmark is a one-of-a-kind geography and historically. If we don’t preserve it now it will be lost forever.

I have two degrees in geology I earned here in NYS. I worked as a professional geologist for 20 years here in NTS, and have been teaching earth science in NYS for the last 19 years. In that time I have visited Stark's Knob several times and always been impressed with it's natural beauty and scientific significance. This geologic treasure should be preserved for all time. Please make the deed reflect this.

This historic site must be preserved! Stark's Knob is the ONLY example of a pillow basalt in NYS and I have led groups there many times. It is one of the natural wonders of our great State.
