The Pedestrian Crossing outside The Sideline Bar and Blue Tiki Hair Salon in Stanmore Rd is very dangerous and drivers are too concerned about getting through the green light at North Avon Rd and won't look for pedestrians. There are a number of elderly and disabled folk around here who walk slower than younger folk and we want people to be safe. I have seen a number of near deaths and accidents here, so have the local business owners, so lets make a difference. Lets get this area safe by either raising the pedestrian crossing with a speed bump or place lights at Stanmore/Avalon St corner. It would also be great to reduce the speed around this area on Stanmore Rd to 30 km hr as it is a very busy area with alot of traffic and businesses.
