As human population increases without strict regulations wildlife populations decrease, fact. In my area we instituted a 3 per year limit instead of a 1 per day on sturgeon. Who needs 1 per day of a 4 ft fish? Protect them, the sport will generate income for years.

I will start by saying I am an avid outdoorsman and fish religiously. It is sad that people see something that is rare and their first instinct is to kill it for the sole purpose of taking a picture. Bow fishing as a whole needs to be regulated. I have seen many boat ramps over the years that are littered with the carcus’ of “non game” fish and find it to be quite wasteful.

Protect the alligator gar, a slow-growing American treasure.

Bowfishing for alligator gar should be banned period... More damage is done to the gar if you are gonna release it cause of the size limit...
