I'm a conscientious Fort Worth resident. I may not be involved in all aspects of civil life in the city, but I take an interest in many of them. And that includes our school board and city educators, some of whom are my friends. I am proud to have a school board that is so forward thinking, caring, and socially inclusive as laid out in the recent guidelines approved by the superintendent. Because of these guidelines, I know when I have children that they will be learning in a better environment than I had growing up. I know there are hundreds to thousands of students now who will be protected by anti-discrimination rules and that their educators truly care about providing the best possible learning environment for ALL students. If only our Lietenant Governor wasn't such a bully, our school board could get back to the business of their position: sorting out funding and programs for the next school year. Too bad there's no guidelines to protect local-control school boards from the wrath of interference from dogmatic zealots in state office.

The world and society change and evolve. Our minds should be open and our hearts should be welcoming to those who are suffering. Bullying those different from you is wrong wrong wrong. I stand with our District implementing any plan protecting all groups. There is no logical reason to say no. I believe in facts not fiction.

Full support of FWISD and the superintendent. Bullying in schools has to stop plus the groups against these guidelines are reacting to misinformation.

I encourage the Superintendent to keep the guidelines for Trans students in place. These guidelines ensure a safe and orderly atmosphere for students.

I absolutely, 100% trust Dr Scribner AND the school board's judgment, and applaud them for standing up for those who need it most. the bullying has to stop, and fear and hypothesizing isn't the way to get there.

It is important that students feel safe and respected. This whole "danger" argument is specious, just a sokescreen to persecute.
