Please sign SB197! Liquor store owners were asked to come to a compromise session, and this bill is a direct result of our tough negotiations. It protects us while also allowing a gradual transition to grocery store liquor sales.

Dear Governor, As a liquor store owner this bill is very important to me and my family's future. Please sign this bill as soon as possible....it was a compromise solution by both sides so I don't feel there is any reason not to sign it. The legislation has also approved this compromise.

Please sign SB 197, this bill is a well thought approach, it avoids an abrupt change that would most likely permanently result in immediate financial hardships and unemployment for may Coloradoans.

I would love for the Gov. to sign this but unfortunately it will come down to political pressures and the opinion of Gov.'s staff. Like one national political reporter said when John was reelected. Colorado's Governor Howdy Dufy is back

Please sign this bill. I purchased a liquor store 3 years ago with a long term commitment. Last year a major grocery store closed the anchor next to my business. All the businesses in our complex have struggled, but the support of our community has enabled our small businesses to stay alive. Our customers depend on us and want to support small locally owned businesses. Meanwhile, one of the corporate grocery stores have closed nine locations and moved on. Corporate grocery stores already have too much control and impact on our local communities. A balance of small locally owned businesses and corporate owned businesses are vital to the local economy. Corporate grocery stores do not need any more of the market share. In addition Colorado is touted as being the #1 "Craft" beer producing state. This is a direct result of Colorado's liquor license structrure. Small businesses encourageing entrepreneurship and supporting the growth of each other. The smaller craft breweries could not have and will not exist with the local liquor stores being driven out of the market. Lastly, why would any Colorado resident want to see current revenue moving outside of the state? Again, please support this bill.
